My role is focused on creating and implementing strategies for growth across Hawthorn Photonics and its companies, Covesion, AdvR, and Radiantis, by commercialising and maximising the impact of our advanced optical technologies especially in the Quantum market.
I work on a strategic level planning how we can develop as a business, looking at potential acquisitions of both technology and other businesses. As a highly technical organisation, I work to bridge the gap between the commercial goals of the business and the scientific technical expertise within our teams. My main objective is to drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability, ensuring a strong future for our employees, customers, and stakeholders alike. I focus on connecting the exceptional talent across our group with real-world opportunities, turning innovation into tangible value and helping our technologies and people reach their full potential.
Throughout my career, I have focused on growing and strengthening technical businesses. I enjoy working with companies that have strong foundations and significant potential, helping them evolve into high-performing organisations that deliver better products, create new opportunities for their teams, and achieve consistent, sustainable growth.
At Hawthorn Photonics, this means working across Covesion, AdvR, and Radiantis to ensure our technologies are positioned effectively in the market. I spend time with our teams to understand what makes our solutions unique, where they can make the greatest impact, and how we can continue to expand into new markets. By connecting technical insight with commercial direction, I help ensure that our innovation translates into tangible results and long-term success for the entire group.
Mostly playing cricket and watching rugby. I love most sports it’s probably down to my (overly) competitive nature and I have my family; they keep me busy! I like reading as well, mostly nonfiction, a lot of history, especially Roman history.
